Last updated 9 September 2026. This policy explains what Happn AI collects and what happens to it.

What we collect

When you browse this site we collect only what is needed to serve pages and keep them working: request logs containing an abbreviated address, the page requested and the time. When you sign up for the chat we hold the details you give us and the conversations attached to your account.

Why we hold it

Account details identify you across sessions. Conversation history is what allows a character to continue a thread rather than restart it. Logs let us find and fix faults and protect the service from abuse.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal data. We do not publish conversations. We do not build advertising profiles from what you write to a character.

How long we keep it

Conversation history stays until you delete it or close your account. Technical logs are kept for a short retention window and then discarded.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for your account and its history to be deleted. Write to hello@happn-meet.com and we will confirm once it is done.

Cookies

This site uses only what is required to keep a session working. Optional analytics, if enabled, are aggregate and cannot be traced back to a conversation.

Children

The service is for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor we close it.

Changes

Material changes to this policy are published here with a new date.
